These three artists made us feel like VIP guests to their country music party, whether it was taking selfies, or spinning Lynch's karaoke wheel, every second of this show had us smiling. With each artist’s personality being so fun and welcoming, we knew this show would be one for the books in 2016.
I sat down with rising country star, Chris Lane, prior to the show to hear all about his hit single "Fix" and more.
Having only lived in Nashville for a short time, it appears this North Carolina native has found his home sweet home. Starting out as the front man of a small cover band, to currently touring the country with his drummer and twin brother, Corey, as an opener for Dustin Lynch, I would have to say dreams do come true. "It feels really good to see all of my hard work pay off. I feel very blessed because I've been able to write with a lot of great songwriters in Nashville. I can't wait to get my full record out there to the fans," Lane said.
Growing up, Lane imagined himself as a professional athlete, and did not think music was going to be what made his famous. For years, playing baseball was his first love. "As bummed as I was leaving baseball and having my knee surgeries, it did change my path. It honestly worked out in my favor and I am way more excited now than I have ever been," Lane said.
Now that I have officially seen Lane perform and have listened to his one-of-a-kind single, I can finally say I got my ‘fix’. Lane has a bright future ahead of him and I can't wait to see his music journey continue beyond the lyrics.
CMT has selected Lane as one of the 16 artists included in their LISTEN UP "16 for 2016" campaign. This is to recognize Lane as a star on the verge of achieving new heights in their careers.
