Chase Rice has bucked tradition when it comes to building his music career, earning loyalty from a legion of fans across North America by championing a way of life familiar to those in the flyover states. Until recently, Rice had accomplished this feat without a song on mainstream radio or a label partner. Now, having forged a unique promotional partnership with Columbia Nashville, Rice’s fierce drive and undeniable talent are paying off as he hits yet another milestone in his rising career: his first RIAA Certified Gold record with current single, “Ready Set Roll.”
Still hot on the country charts and just shy of the Top 20, “Ready Set Roll” has already sold more than 500,000 units thanks to early airplay on SiriusXM's "The Highway" where it has already topped their Hot 30 Countdown. The single, which Rice wrote with DeStefano and Akins, is the first single from his forthcoming full-length album. The single debuted at the top of the iTunes Country Songs chart when it was initially released as a digital single on Rice’s Ready Set Roll EP last October.
“That’s unbelievable to me, as an independent artist -- we’ve got Columbia pushing [‘Ready Set Roll’] up the charts -- but to do it the way we’ve done it, underground, without a label, having so many people tell me I was crazy for how I was doing it – to do it that way and now to have a Gold record is unbelievable,” Rice added. “And this song still has a lot of life left on it – hopefully we can go for Platinum now!”
Rice is currently touring with Dierks Bentley on the Riser Tour and continues to perform his own headlining dates across the country. For more information, visit www.ChaseRice.com or follow on Twitter and Facebook @ChaseRiceMusic.
