Pop Up Music is anchored creatively by Jingle Jared (Jared Gutstadt), CEO of Jingle Punks. Jared, whose credits include writing songs for Dierks Bentley, Chiddy Bang, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and a wide variety of artists in multiple genres, received an ASCAP Award last year for his contributions to “The Voice” and “Pawn Stars.”
Two Nashville music industry veterans have been hired to run the Nashville office. Pete Olson has been hired as Vice President of Artist Management & Development, and Liz O’Sullivan has been hired as Vice President of Publishing & Artist Development.
Olson was a manager with Rogue Music Group / AMP for the last five years. Prior to that, he worked as an agent at Paradigm for three years and at WME for four years. During his career, he has worked with artists including Dierks Bentley, Wade Bowen, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, and more.
O’Sullivan was formerly the Senior Vice President at Sea Gayle Music for nearly 14 years, during which she won two ASCAP Publisher of the Year Awards and signed artist/writers including Wade Bowen, Jerrod Niemann, Chris Stapleton, and more. As a song plugger, she scored multiple No. 1 hits including the ASCAP Song of the Year “It’sFive O’Clock Somewhere” and CMA Song of the Year “Whiskey Lullaby.”
"We play in the sandbox with writers from all different publishing companies and talent from all walks of the music industry,” says Gutstadt. “Nashville is a particularly exciting space for us. We're excited to have experienced veterans like Liz and Pete managing the day-to-day creative assets."
“Jared, Dan and the team at Jingle Punks/Pop Up Music are an amazingly talented group that I am glad to be a part of," says Olson. "They bring in a breath of fresh air and a unique, outside the box mentality when it comes to new approaches for developing and breaking artists and songwriters. With the relationships they have in place in NY and LA we will be able to seamlessly plug in our artists and writers for sync placements, branded sponsorships and new revenue streams.”
“I am so excited for the opportunity to work with such a creative forward thinking company," says Sullivan. "What they have accomplished already is going to open so many doors and opportunities for Nashville songwriters and artists that we represent. Plus the energy and creativity they bring is so refreshing.”
With country music becoming more in-demand in the sync space, Pop Up Music will serve as a bridge between Nashville, Hollywood, and Madison Avenue. Recently, Jared and his team worked with country music artist J.R. Moore on a national re-launch of the Meow Mix brand.
Pop Up Music plans to announce new signings soon. The office address is: Pop Up Music Nashville, 2613 Westwood Drive, Nashville, TN 37204. Olson can be reached at Pete@PopUpMusic.com. O’Sullivan can be reached at Liz@PopUpMusic.com.
