After almost a decade of hiatus from making Christmas records, singer-songwriter Kenny Chesney is back with his latest Holiday offering—the Christmas in Blue Chair Bay album.
Aside from being popular with his soothing and heartwarming holiday singles, Chesney is genuinely fond of the Christmas season. He always values the warmth of love from family, friends, and fans during the winter and celebrates the whole season with his good tunes.
And now, for the first time since 2003, the East Tennessee musician is back with a new collection of holiday hits. Now, he gives a more relaxing yet full of emotions take with the acoustic single Christmas in Blue Chair Bay.
The decade of lay off from doing holiday records makes the comeback more genuine and more heartfelt. In an interview, Chesney expressed that he truly enjoyed his rest during the holidays with the family and enjoy everyone’s company without any job and music to promote. He loved the Christmas and New Year in the islands with his favorite rum.
This experience inspired him to write a chill but still warm music for Christmas. He describes this album as a taste of life in the small town while enjoying the sea breeze in the shore and of course, savoring every moment with good company. This is evident with lyrics of the song, highlighting the celebration with family during the season.
Of course, fans are loving the comeback of Chesney after his almost platinum record entitled All I Want for Christmas is a Real Good Tan. He also released mixes of the classic holiday songs, such as Silent Night and I’ll Be Home for Christmas.
