Having just graduated from college in Louisiana in December 2015, Alex moved to Nashville in July after putting his team together and the singer/songwriter has fully immersed himself into co-writing, recording and performing. He immediately hit the road on a marathon radio tour for the last six weeks and will be back on the road in the coming weeks.
Alex is already making a strong impression with radio programmers with his “Load It Up”:
"Alex Smith has every ingredient to be a STAR!"
Ryan McCall, PD- WGLR / Plateville, WI
"Alex Smith is what Country Music needs right now! A great singer, songwriter and all
around nice guy! I can't wait for the rest of the world to discover him!”
Melissa Frost - KRRV / Alexandria, LA
"When we first came out with 'Load It Up,' I was still in Louisiana," the singer-songwriter recalls. "I'm friends with a bunch of the bar owners there and I was at a bar that was packed. They played my song during the middle of a DJ's set and I just went super-awkward! They all reacted really well to it. But it was really just strange to me, with people enjoying it not knowing who I am. Now, every Saturday night at that bar, it's their closing song at the end of the night. It has definitely grown.”
Having opened packed shows for CMA New Artist of the Year Brett Eldredge and country-rock rapper Uncle Kracker in Louisiana, Smith arrived in Nashville with a solid and rapidly growing loyal fan base as well as the skill and confidence of a seasoned professional, as evidenced in such muscular, instantly memorable tunes included on his Fear of Missing Out EP such as "Load It Up” and the title track "Fear of Missing Out (F.O.M.O).”
