Caitlin Quisenberry – I Will I SWEAR I DO Lyrics

Verse 1
We found a love
More precious than gold.
We found a song
That never gets old.

We found Heaven on Earth
And a long slow kiss.
We found the answer
No matter what the question is.

Chorus
Whether it’s a high class life
Or gettin’ by a living
Baby, it’s a dream come true.
If we’re drinking fine red wine
Or Pabst Blue Ribbon
I’mma raise it up with you.

You can wrap my finger
In a diamond ring
Or tie the knot with a piece of string.
Baby, if it means forever with you,
I will, I swear, I do.
I will, I swear, I do.

Verse 2
We found a spark
That outshines the stars.
We found the reason
Why all the rest fell apart.

We found the whole wide world
On a front porch swing.
We found each other, it’s no wonder,
We found everything.

Chorus
Whether it’s a high class life
Or gettin’ by a living
Baby, it’s a dream come true.
If we’re drinking fine red wine
Or Pabst Blue Ribbon
I’mma raise it up with you.

You can wrap my finger
In a diamond ring
Or tie the knot with a piece of string.
Baby, if it means forever with you,
I will, I swear, I do.

Bridge
Baby if it’s win or lose
I’ll be holding onto you
‘Til there’s silver in our hair.
I will, I do, I swear

Chorus
Whether it’s a high class life
Or gettin’ by a living
Baby, it’s a dream come true.
If we’re drinking fine red wine
Or Pabst Blue Ribbon
I’mma raise it up with you.

You can wrap my finger
In a diamond ring
Or tie the knot with a piece of string.
Baby, if it means forever with you…
Yeah, all you gotta do is ask me to.
I will, I swear, I do.
I will, I swear, I do.

Song Meaning & Review

I find the whole song meaningful and beautiful. The lyrics mean so much to me, since I personally can relate. On a short note, the song literally means “It doesn’t matter whether you give me extravagant  things, or the smallest things with all your love in it. As long as I could spend the rest of my life with you”.

I’m a 21-year-old lady who is currently in a serious relationship with the man I met at 15 during high school for over six years now. The first rings he ever bought for the both of us were those ten dollar rings we’d found in a stall next to my high school’s church.

Said he wanted to give me a promise ring, but these rings were all he could afford at the time, and honestly I didn’t mind. To this day, we’re still wearing the same rings we bought that day, and I’m proud and happy that we still are.

He was still in college back then, and he was never really able to buy me gifts or take me to restaurants even though he wanted to. But he’d always find ways to get to me even though we’re hours away from each other.

The thing is, he could take me to a fancy dinner or simply take me out to eat street foods on a sidewalk. He could take me out on an extravagant date or simply take me out for a walk with him and just talk, it could be in a park, or even just walking in a neighborhood street, we could even just have a date at home.

Just sit and watch TV while we cuddle, or eat some snacks or do an art jam. We could even just sit on the sofa or lay in bed hugging, and I’m happy enough just laying there beside him while slowly falling asleep in his arms.

The song gave me so much of the same exact vibe. He can give me the most expensive things or even things you could get for a cent, I don’t mind. As long as it’s him, and as long as I get to spend the rest of my life with him, I will. And we’ll work on it together, our future and growth.
