This song by Salemtown entitled “Glad She Got Away” is for everyone who broke up with their ex and is now happier with somebody new. In the first verse of the song, he talked about how he fought with his ex and thought he was never going to move on from his ex because his ex was also his best friend. He felt sad about losing the memories with her. It was not until he saw the new girl and fell in love with her.

The second verse after the chorus talks about all the fun things they did together saying he found out the reason why he had to get broke. He was thankful for letting go of her ex because if he didn’t, he wouldn’t be holding his new girl’s hands.

The bridge talks about how he feels happy that she let go of her ex because that made their love for each other grow every single day.

The chorus talks about how he tried to chase her before, but he failed and learned some things from it. Looking back, he realized that this failure paved the way for his happiness. And that’s why he’s glad that she got away.

This might serve as a lesson for someone that’s holding on to their partner even though the relationship is getting toxic. When you’re with him/her, you might think that you can’t handle being apart but you got to realize that you can.
