Troy Cartwright – God Is Good Lyrics

Verse
We don’t talk too much about it
Ain’t no other way around it
It’s a long road up ahead for a friend of mine
They’ve got him going in next week
He’s got a thing he’s got to beat
If I said I wasn’t scared, well I’d be lying

Chorus
Ain’t no way of knowing ’bout tomorrow
And it won’t always go the way I wish it would
I know time’s just something that we borrow
Lord knows I forget more than I should
God is good

Verse
I see it happen all the time
It’s a picked up tab in a checkout line
It’s a tank of gas from a guy I never met
It’s birthday number 93
For the man whose name that they gave me
We don’t know how many he’s got left
So he treats everyday like it’s a gift

Chorus
Ain’t no way of knowing ’bout tomorrow
And it won’t always go the way I wish it would
I know time’s just something that we borrow
Lord knows I forget more than I should
God is good

Bridge
Holding her in my arms tonight
I’ve got living proof looking me in the eyes
God is good

Chorus
Ain’t no way of knowing ’bout tomorrow
And it won’t always go the way I wish it would
I know time’s just something that we borrow
Lord knows I forget more than I should
God is good

Song Meaning & Review

Once again, Troy Cartwright released another inspirational and meaningful song entitled “God is Good.” It talks about the fear of what tomorrow will bring, but also remember that it will be all good because of the presence of the good Lord.

Troy Cartwright said that he is genuinely proud of this, and this song speaks to him most off of “Halfway to Houston.” The song’s verses talked about the people that surround him and the path they are taking.

He is scared of what might happen to them and appreciates how they can still see life as something good. He might not know what the future will be, but indeed he’s got someone to rely on, someone that would care for these people, and it’s no other than God and His goodness.
