Song Meaning & Review
This song is about how the artist has always ended up broken hearted again and again. And it’s actually sad that it’s getting to the point where he’s already getting used to it, and starting to question and wonder if he’s the reason why they’re always leaving.
I can feel the pain of the artist through the lyrics and how it was sung. Imagine how painful it is to give the world to someone who meant everything to you and end up getting heartbroken again and again. With this, I’m pretty sure a lot of people can relate to this.
Especially nowadays where people seem to see and treat love as something that’s easily thrown out of the window. Something they think they could just take for granted. And if I’m being honest, a lot of people from my generation somehow ends up getting their relationship ended over the smallest things.
Like, things that can still literally be talked over and fixed. Like, doesn’t anyone ever find at least that one reason to stay anymore? The reason being “love” for that person.
I think this is one of the reasons why things end up being so messy and people like the artist of this song gets left behind so easily.
The slightest inconvenience and people decide to leave. That’s one of two issues. Another issue is that there are people nowadays who don’t think of the consequences of cheating, heck, there was even a tweet where someone was actually trying to normalize it.
This is why I think a lot of people can and will relate to this song. Because it’s so hard to find real love and someone who’d really stick by with you no matter what nowadays, no matter what hardships come by they’d always try to fix it with you.
Let me say something, when you date, it’s like a preparation of spending the rest of your life with that person. And those hardships that come by when you’re not even married to that person yet, are trials on how far you can go for that person. Because you can never take the wedding vow “For better or for worse” if you’d just give up on that person so easily.
